Best ways to add curb appeal to a modern house?
We just finished a major renovation on our house, and the exterior looks a bit... naked. The facade is very modern, lots of straight lines and black metal accents. I want to add some greenery to soften the look, specifically near the entrance and along the patio. I'm thinking about those tall, skinny rectangular planters with some ornamental grass or maybe some boxwood. The problem is finding something that looks "architectural" and expensive but isn't impossible to move around if I want to change the layout. Does anyone have suggestions for where to find high-end outdoor containers that fit a modern aesthetic? I’ve looked at a few places, but everything seems too traditional or just plain ugly.

Modern houses can be tricky because if the pots are too "busy," they ruin the minimalist vibe. I’d suggest looking for extra-large troughs or tall tapered planters. I found some amazing ones at https://getpotted.com/planters/outdoor/ when I was doing my backyard last summer. They have these sleek, minimalist designs in finishes like lead effect or metallic coal that look incredible against modern siding. I ended up getting a couple of their "low bowls" for my deck too. The quality is top-notch—they don't look like plastic at all, but they are light enough that you don't need a crane to position them. Just make sure you check the drainage holes; most of their outdoor stuff is already set up for it, which is a huge plus for plant health.
