THE DIRECTORS

Resident Argentine Tango choreographers on BBC Strictly Come Dancing, they bring authentic tango to millions each year. They are judges at the Official World Argentine Tango Championships, internationally recognised performers, teachers, and creative directors, and founders of London Tango Academy in London and Avenida Tango in Buenos Aires.

Leandro, with over 30 years of experience and deeply shaped by the legacy of the old milongueros, is a Maestro guiding the new generation of tango teachers worldwide and works as an Artistic Director in London, Dubai, and Qatar.

Maria, a Bloch Ambassador, BBC TV presenter, and Strictly choreographer, has also choreographed for seven West End shows.

THE ACADEMY 
London Tango Academy was born in 2003 in the heart of central London & has warmly welcomed over 15,000 students of all ages, backgrounds since its opening. The Academy has received multiple awards, including Best Tango School Worldwide in 2018 and 2019 and Best Dance School of 2023 in the Prestige Awards UK.
