Travel and Participation Disclaimer, Payment, Cancellation and Refund Policy
Updated August 1st,  2025

  1. Booking and payment

Full payment is required to confirm your registration and must be paid by bank transfer. Your place is confirmed once cleared funds are received.

  2. Nature of the trip and assumption of risk

By booking and taking part in this trip, you acknowledge that travel and dance based activities involve inherent risks, both expected and unexpected. These risks can include illness, injury, medical or climatic disruptions, delays, cancellations, changes to services, and situations where you may be unable to travel as planned due to personal emergency.

You confirm that you understand the nature of the trip, which may include Argentine tango dancing, walking and sightseeing, night time activities, travel within the destination, and other touristic activities. You are responsible for ensuring that your health, mobility, and fitness are suitable for safe participation.

You are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance, including cover for medical expenses, personal injury, cancellations, curtailment, and loss or theft of personal belongings.

  3. Responsibility and limits of liability

London Tango Academy and its representatives, referred to here as “LTA”, are not responsible for loss, damage, delay, inconvenience, or injury arising from events outside LTA’s reasonable control. This can include flight changes or cancellations, fare changes, supplier changes, industrial action, social or labour unrest, disease outbreaks, adverse weather, road conditions, accidents, and the acts or omissions of third party suppliers involved in delivering any element of the trip, such as venues, transport providers, instructors, accommodation providers, or individuals or companies letting their premises.

If, due to weather, flight schedules, or other factors outside LTA’s reasonable control, you incur additional costs, including extra nights of accommodation, transfers, meals, or alternative transport, you are responsible for those costs unless the booking terms or applicable law state otherwise.

Your baggage and personal property, including cash, are carried at your own risk.

Nothing in this document limits or excludes LTA’s liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law. Nothing in this document affects your statutory rights, including any rights that may apply under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, where relevant.

  4. Cancellation by the traveller

All cancellations must be made in writing.

If you cancel 31 days or more before the holiday start date, we will refund the amount paid minus a cancellation charge of £600 per person. This charge reflects administration and costs we reasonably expect to be non recoverable at that stage.

If you cancel 30 days or fewer before the holiday start date, the booking is non refundable, because most costs are typically committed by then. Where we are able to recover costs from suppliers or resell your place, we will refund any recovered amount, minus any reasonable unrecoverable costs.

If you arrive late, leave early, or miss any element of the itinerary for any reason, you may not be entitled to a refund for unused services.

  5. Cancellation by the organiser

If LTA cancels the trip, refunds will be handled in line with applicable law and the booking terms you accepted.

  6. Travel documents and requirements

You are solely responsible for arranging and checking all travel documentation and requirements, including passports, visas, vaccinations, and any entry requirements, and for complying with local laws and regulations in the destination.
