How do tattoo touch-ups usually work?

I got a tattoo about a month ago, and now that it’s fully healed, I’ve noticed a few spots where the ink looks a little light. This was my first one, so I’m not sure if this is normal or if I should be worried. Do most reputable shops in Toronto offer a service to fix these minor gaps, or do I have to pay for a full new session? I want to make sure I understand the typical etiquette and timeline for asking an artist to take another look at their work.

Don’t worry, it’s actually pretty common for some areas to need a bit of a boost after the skin settles. Most professional studios have a specific window of time where they’ll handle this for you. For example, you can see how a standard professional shop handles it by checking out the https://www.icontattoo.ca/tattoo/touch-up-policy page Usually, if you go back within a couple of months, they’ll touch it up for free or a very small fee, provided you followed the aftercare instructions. Just reach out to your artist and send them a clear photo of the area!
