Get a taste of Argentine culture and learn our traditional dance: Chacarera! What is Chacarera?

Chacarera is an energetic folk dance hailing from Argentina’s rural heartlands. With its playful rhythms and joyful melodies, Chacarera tells stories of community. Danced in pairs, it’s fun & dynamic that’s as exciting to watch as it is to dance!

By the end of the class, you’ll know the choreography which is the same for all chacareras! This means you’ll only have to learn it once! YAY!

Many Milongas and Festivals around the world, play a Chacarera during the evening and it’s a very fun way to get people dancing and smiling!

What to Expect in the Class:

Introduction: New to Chacarera? No worries! We’ll introduce you to the basics of the dance, including the unique footwork and hand clapping (palmas).
Technique & Style: Learn the signature steps with confidence.
Dance Practice: Put it all together as we dance through the steps in pairs, accompanied by traditional Argentine music that will have you dancing in no time.
Fun & Connection: This is more than just a dance class, it’s a celebration of culture, music, and community. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, you’ll leave with a smile on your face!
