Boris Maidanik & Chris Benson Workshops
Harmonizing their distinct and varied backgrounds of dance training, biomechanics, and tango to create their dance. The fundamental element of their tango is el abrazo and the connection between two dancers. "It is this embrace that enables us to communicate in an unspoken language"
Date & Time
Feb 17, 2018, 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Nuffield Covent Garden, 9 Endell St, London WC2H 9SA, UK
Boris & Chris feel that even if two bodies are standing still in space, their embrace can continue moving within and between them, like atoms attracted to each other. Their focus is to enable dancers that truly connect with themselves and their partner.
On Saturday, February 17th they offer two workshops to cover very distinct but important aspects of our Tango:
12 to 1.30pm - The embrace: Find your dynamic movement
In this class we focus on the embrace, how we can work on our embrace to keep the connection to create seamless and more dynamic movements. We will look at how we change the dynamics while maintaining a comfortable connection with our partner.
1.30 to 3pm - Milonga
Let’s milonga! Working with exercises and sequences we will look at how to dance and play to enjoy the milonga rhythm.
£ 20 per person per workshop, or take both workshops for £ 30
Paid in cash on the day of the workshop
