Tango Body

Body Work & Technique for Tango Dancers

What we will focus on:

In this class you will learn how to improve the functionality and efficiency of your body to help you feel more stable, secure and comfortable in your dance.

You will build strength, stability and flexibility in the feet, knees and ankles, improve your balance, posture and learn how to be more precise and place your body correctly for more ease in your dance.

We will work intensely to improve your range of movement for dancing Tango, increasing freedom & flexibility in the hips and legs and improved spine and shoulder mobility for better dissociation. Each week we will drill exercises, explore new techniques and learn how to apply these tools to Walking, Ocho's, Giro's and Voleos.

The aim of this class is to make you will feel confident in knowing how to train and prepare your body for Tango and will be able to see and feel the benefits when you step into class or the Milonga!
